The Story of the Proclaimers
Part One - The Early Years
Interior - Living Room, Scotland.
Virgil Proclaimer: 'And I would walk 500 miles'
Alan Proclaimer: 'And I would walk 500 more'
Scott Proclaimer: 'And I would walk 500 more'
Virgil: 'Hang on lads. That's 1,500 miles'
Scott: 'So?'
Virgil: 'Well, that's silly - nobody can walk 1,500 miles'
Alan: 'Good point Virgil'
Time passes...
Virgil: 'And I would walk 333 miles'
Alan: 'And I would walk 333 more'
Scott: 'And I would walk 333
more'
Virgil: 'That's 999 miles'
Scott: 'Well, we can hardly sing 'a third of a thousand miles', can we?'
Alan: 'Besides, '500 miles' has a mythic power to it that '333 miles'
lacks'
Virgil: 'Yes. Scott, you'll have to go'
Scott: 'Do I have to?'
Virgil: 'Yes. Sorry. The music business is harsh'
TO BE CONTINUED... (about two BR tags hence)
Part 2 - the Metal Years
Virgil Proclaimer: 'Hang on lads. This isn't working out. Metal just isn't
in our blood'
Scott Proclaimer: 'You're right'
Alan Proclaimer: 'Hang on - do we still have the same characterisation as in
'Part One - The Early Years'? Our Author seems to have forgotten'
Richard Proclaimer: 'I'm sure I wasn't in the first part'
Part 3 - America
Richard Proclaimer: 'So, here it is - America, the new found land!'
Scott Proclaimer: 'Aye. That it be'
Virgil Proclaimer: 'Hang on. You weren't so obviously Scottish in the first
two parts'
Alan Proclaimer: 'In fact, you almost sound Cornish'
Scott Proclaimer: 'Sorry. I was trying to attract a nice American lass. They
like Scottish accents'
Virgil Proclaimer: 'Aye. You're right there'
Scott Proclaimer: 'I feel a song coming on'
